The rear-facing lens can be turned around by up to 180 degrees, so it can record in any position between facing forward parallel to the front lens, and facing straight back into the car. Note that night video footage will obviously be black-and-white (or rather, black-and-green) due to the IR lighting. The rear camera’s video quality is very good at day time, and fair at night even when the car’s interior is dark. The front camera records good quality video, both at day and at night.
